Sunday Hebrew School - 2018/2019

With the beautiful growth spurt of Jewish families moving into our newly built neighbourhood and a fast vast of vibrant Jewish schools and Hebrew schools around our area with a lot to offer...

Why open another one?

The Hebrew School of Performance is a unique Hebrew school that will make your child’s Jewish identity stand strong and shine. Our goal is to imbue your child with a feeling of connection and love for G-d, Torah, Land of Israel and our People. The beauty and values of Judaism will be brought to life in a fun and entertaining way through live theatre performance and production.

Our curriculum is filled with hands-on activities, baking, clay molding, games, songs, arts and crafts and drama. Even our prayers are in sing-a-long songs! The children won’t even realize how much they are really learning! Our curriculum will cover Jewish holidays, their stories and traditions, Shabbat, Mitzvot, and Hebrew reading and writing!!

This fabulous, energetic program will allow children to tap into their creative energies. The fundamentals of theatre performance and production, such as speech, role playing, and character development will be practiced. Twice a year, participants will perform to showcase their craft and talent to the community.

One Child is One Whole World!! We truly hold each child as precious and dear. We are all here in this world for a purpose and mission. Close to your child`s Jewish Birthday, a staff member will do a home visitation and create a real meaningful Jewish Birthday Celebration together with the family with delicious Kosher home baked - cupcakes!

1. Do we have to be members of Maon Noam to enroll our children in Hebrew School?

Maon Noam’s No Membership Philosophy makes our programs accessible to all. Everyone is welcomed as family. Our unique approach and unconditional acceptance of every Jew has created a dynamic and flourishing Jewish Community. We are constantly expanding our programs and services to serve everyone, and we invite you to join us at any time.

2. My family is not religious; will I feel comfortable at Maon Noam?

Our organization is inclusive and non-judgmental, and our programs are open to all Jews. In fact, the vast majority of people who participate in programs are not Orthodox. The teachings are imbued with the renowned Jewish spirit and joy, but in no way is the commitment to an Orthodox lifestyle a prerequisite to one's acceptance at the Center’s programs, activities & schools. Please feel free to stop by to see for yourself the warmth and welcome everyone receives regardless of their personal religious affiliation and practices.

3. Do we have to make any commitments like keeping Kosher to enroll our children in the Hebrew School?

We are not out to make one Orthodox. Our Center is an educational organization dedicated to helping every Jew, regardless of background, affiliation, or personal level of observance, to increase their level of Jewish knowledge, enthusiasm, and commitment. We are not out to make one Orthodox.
